Cultural immersion

If you haven’t yet heard of the Belgo building, you’ve been missing out! Located in the Quartier des spectacles on one of Montréal’s busiest commercial streets, the Belgo building stands at 372 Sainte-Catherine Street West.

This former industrial building, constructed in 1912, is now a major art centre that brings together one of the highest concentrations of contemporary art galleries in Quebec, and in Canada as a whole. It is home to no fewer than 30 galleries and artists’ studios, as well as architectural firms, fashion designers, and more.

With a visit to the Belgo, you’ll experience a unique kind of cultural immersion in Montréal’s offbeat visual arts scene. The galleries at the Belgo present well-known artists as well as rising stars, so art lovers have a chance to discover tomorrow’s top artists today— just by opening their eyes wide and absorbing all that the Belgo has to offer.

Each gallery sets its own visiting hours,
