An hour or two walking through the city’s streets and alleys is more than enough
to see just how creative and constructive Montrealers can be!
From garage doors and brick walls to fire hydrants and even the streets and
sidewalks themselves, you’ll see drawings, shapes and images everywhere,
each more colourful than the last. Certain murals are even produced as carefully
organized community projects in which residents vote on competing designs!
Then there’s the Public Art Bureau, which now manages a collection of more
than 315 works in outdoor spaces— as well as in city buildings like the Maison
de la culture in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville district, which is home to a photo
installation by Roberto Pellegrinuzzi.
