New technology at the Old Port

Just in time for summer, the PY1 pyramid joins the skyline at the Old Port of Montreal. At 25 metres high, this visually striking structure is home to a multi-sensory venue where technology, art and music combine in multimedia performances and highly immersive experiences. The first show performed here, Through the Echoes by Gabriel Coutu-Dumont, takes the audience on a 60-minute technological odyssey through space and time, from the Big Bang to today.

Initiated by Guy Laliberté and Lune Rouge Entertainment, this space is intended as a playful and creative touring venue where advanced technologies meet the talent of the world’s greatest digital entertainment creators.

With four possible configurations and space for up to 1000 visitors, PY1 offers a platform for public entertainment experiences that’s ready to integrate augmented reality. On weekend evenings, PY1 will transform into a cutting-edge nightclub where visitors can enjoy performances by a hand-picked selection of top DJs.
