Un vélo Une ville: Taking care of our senior citizens

13/08/2019

Every summer since 2013, the charitable organization Un vélo Une ville has been offering senior citizens a free pedicab ride service, for practical errands or just for fun. With this service, Un vélo Une ville carries out two missions at once: helping to keep seniors from becoming isolated by encouraging cross-generational interactions with our young pedicab drivers, while supporting our drivers’ academic success with a well-paying job and a study grant awarded at the end of their employment period.

Through support from distinguished partners like the Quebecor Group, Le Groupe Maurice, the Luc Maurice Foundation, the Desjardins Group and the Caisse de dépôt de placement du Québec, Un vélo Une ville has established itself as a leading actor when it comes to improving living conditions for senior citizens in Quebec.
